I'm also interested in scopes.  Debating a long rifle to round out my firearms and I'm a bit stumped.  I probably won't do any hunting with it and, unless I find a place other than the range, I'll likely only take it out about 10 times a year.

Any suggestions?  Strongly leaning towards a Remington 700 in .308 but I can be persuaded.

I've got a Remington PSS with a Vari X 2, 3-9x50 scope and QD mounts that Ive been thinking about selling.....

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Yowzer! That hurt to even look at that link! :o Made me remember a video my brother sent me a couple of years ago about a hunting arrow tip that popped open in a similar fashion and spun like a saw blade. The company's videos showed bow hunters shooting their arrows at wild turkeys and their spinning saw blade like arrows were decapitating turkeys left and right! Anyone seen that one?
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

I looked back in my emails and I must have deleted it. It was a while back. No way I'll remember the name of the arrow or the company's name. But they were loping off turkey heads like it was going out of style in the video. They would abviously aim at the turkey's neck and these razor like blades would extend from the head under centrifical force once the arrow was released. It was pretty wicked. I'll try to find it somewhere.

Edit:

I think it was something like this. This looks real familiar but even if it's not the same vid it shows the same type of arrow head and the damage.

I think I was wrong about the arrow tip. I thought they opened up like that shotgun slug. The quick view they give of the arrow head in the video shows the blades already extended. Maybe they are fixed. My post about them opening up was based on memory from a video attachment in an old email. I've slept since then. ;D Regardless whether they open or are fixed they seem to be very effective. The only thing missing was Sarah Palin doing an interview on live TV in front of the turkey getting whacked!!! [laugh] [laugh]
