I hope people in FNQ are able to stay safe tonight. Yasi is now upgraded to Cat 5 (Tracy was Cat 4). This looks like its gonna be serious.

This thing is looking evil. I fear it may be a lot nastier than anyone is expecting, I just hope as many people as possible can hole up somewhere safe.

Glad I got to see the Barrier Reef a couple of years ago. I don't think it's gonna be there this time tomorrow.

They say it will still be a Category 1 by the time it reaches MT Isa which is 1000kms inland. Sounds real bad. Hope everyone is ok up there. Seems QLD is getting quite a raping by mother nature lately.

yeah and even at cat 1 mt isa is toast, the place is mostly dongers and tin sheds!
