Haaaa ha! Lost your tour leaders? [bang] [laugh] [bang]

So you want to know where to go?? ;D

Well all you had to do is ask? [bow_down]

Well thanks for your (half) offer Rob ... but I don't think it will be necessary. Everybody that had shown an interest has pulled out for one reason or another (either in this thread, via PM or via someone else's PM).

Under the circumstances we aren't that motivated for, what would be, a loong day. As we will effectively be riding on our own anyway ... we may as well stay close to home.

Is there really a difference? I am sure it is a ride that would happen again at some stage, but I am not about to propose another date ... so this one is cancelled [cheeky]

Mmick......just heard that Saturday is going to be the hottest day we have had this week.... :o....seeing that it has been cancelled, not postponed............i am always open to "a guided tour " of the souther region by yours truly plus your  partner in crime, now known as "Half Rob"....... ;D........I have been through the National Park but alas, know furvverr. Am anxiously awaiting your reply........i think we could guarantee that some interest will evolve.....interested in throwing your hat into the ring......?........it will probably be an early morning breakfast for me up at PITS then this weekend (both days) I would say.  Piccolo Latte please, my heart starter........if someone beats me and is shouting......... [coffee]     ;D

So there are still 3 interested parties, Dunmonrob, mmick and Brian...... I still can't do it, alas, but Brian, you're welcome to stop in by my place on the way for your coffee fix...

Well when we decided not to bother there was only kinda one ... and kinda another half:

Sounded like a reluctant offer to help, rather than any real interest in the ride (no offence Rob).

I'm sorry, but I'm out.

New contract pending and I have to make an appearance  :(

                                  Mmick

Mick was out.

... and this was only a half. Not knowing where we were going was going to make it hard to make arrangements to meet up 'somewhere'.

So I figured it was best to not trouble Ducmonrob to come up to meet us nor have Brian chasing us around in the afternoon considering we are not really local to Rob and would probably be on a different path to get home late in the day.

But in a determined effort to live by his new moniker commitment, can't even stick to Brian ... and I am left confused by his morning commitments - or as it seems lack of morning commitments.

Its too hard, too hot and would be a very early start ... so we're out. Apologies for any inconvenience but that is why we pulled the pin yesterday so people can get on with other things.

Fair call, now that I see it all in one place.

Always the issue with group ride organisation, people changing their minds and being non committal.... Unless you have a core group committed to going, it gets hard to organise..

Betty

I'm just grateful there wasn't a rush of pullouts on Saturday morning ... so I was extending the same courtesy to others that may still be 'thinking' about it.

Aside from the very hot day it is supposed to be tomorrow, it's a shame there was such little interest from others.
Last ride there was a projected 25 riders out for the day which turned into 19-20 from memory.
Wonder what's happened this time, there weren't many takers at all.
Should it be re floated for the start of March instead of waiting until April?

Betty

I think people just have things other than riding on their minds at the moment ... which is fair enough. Some people have blamed the Oxley tour but that was only a handful of people.

Fact is the forum has been a little quiet lately and some (Suzy, Nick & Kaz for example) have been conspicuous in the relative absences. Others are usually quiet but are willing to jump on the bandwagon at the last minute as ride planning builds momentum. Some are booked in for Superbike School next week another had an 'incident' recently.

I think there have been too many things conspiring against us this time ... and don't think it is a long term problem that strikes most 'clubs' with decreasing participation.

If you want to throw up a thread for March ... no problem. But be mindful the Ozmo track day in early March is already in the calendar.

Not good enough, riding should always be front of mind! :)
