That's the plan for me if the weather cooperates...got the DVR set so I can shorten the game up, can't sit in front of the tv watching a game for 5 hours...

I'll be working on a bike and then watching the Super Bowl.  Close enough?
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

What's up with the starter/kill switch?

What's up with the starter/kill switch?

It's too wide, too fat.  It puts the master cylinder mounting too close to the right fork and causes a few problems as a result. First, it positions the lever in a way that it effectively makes it a "shorty", which I don't like at all, and doesn't even out the front end appearance. There's more. The closer mounting also causes the hollow bolt and banjo fittings for the front brake hoses to hit the fork tube and keeps the lever from rotating downward for more comfortable action. You know all about that as that was one of your complaints about the Hypermotard controls. Lastly, because of the unique shape of the lever itself, the lever hits the throttle cable housing when you apply brakes. Not good. So the whole assembly has to move outward but is limited by the starter switch. The old 748/996 starter switch is the proper width to get everything positioned where it should be. The only problem is that the electrical contact fitting doesn't match. So I've bought a 1098 switch and a 748 switch and will splice the wires together in order to have a clean set up without ruining any original parts.

Aren't you glad you asked?   [laugh] [roll] [laugh]

Rumour has it that there is a ride happening tomorrow at 9am at Aikahi Park shopping center. Craig and Patrick are supposed to be there. Brandon told me about this & we are going to show up to see what's up with this group. No one knows for sure. It's very up in the air and we may, or may not, head out with them. Brandon suggested letting you know and since you asked, now you know. This also extends to Jing if he's reading. Sort of a who knows anything kind of deal. On top of that the weather also got spotty this evening.

Right across from Pinky's Broiler at the top of North Kalaheo. Right where Mokapu Blvd. meets the start of Kaneohe Bay Drive. Got it?
