I don't know if it's the clutch pack cleaning or the fresher, better oil that freed up the shift drum, Karl, but I'm glad it's working well for you again.  In my personal experience, some oils just don't work well with Ducati transmissions.  I, like you, use Mobil 1 motorcycle oil in my mounts and have found they respond well to it.  Agip, too, works well.  Some others, not so much.
