Well... First things first, hello fellow Ducati enthusiasts.

Now to get the recommended formal part out of the way...

   Name: Matthias

   Location: Tanunda, SA

Bike(s) (if any): Learner bike was a 1974/75 Honda CB, painted in the really deep purple/black pearl paint.
Now, i have a Monster 695. My first real bike that doesn't go backwards when approaching a hill...

How long you've been riding: Hmmm... i'm thinking probably 5 years???

Anything else you'd like to share: Work in IT, but i aint a dork... i like to get my hands dirty and pretty much
anything with an engine has got me interested. Before venturing into the IT industry,
i had plans to be a turbo or diesel mechanic, or a cabinet maker/cooper... Big change

Here's a pic of my Ducati, i always name my modes of transport, so have called it Horse... After the big mean Cat from Foot-Rot Flats... hehe

At the moment the bike is stock, only thing adjusted on it is the ride height, previous owner had it lowered, it was an ok height, but i aint that short and feel better at the factory height. Plus helps with clearing spoon drains...

Plans...Well i wasn't looking at doing any besides a new voice box. But that was short lived... Have ideas for the following;
- Mivv Stainless steel slip ons are currently on route from Italy, was going to go with Staintune, but ebay had the final
decider once i found these and the price was right... Plus heard some good reviews on them surfing the net
- Mirrors, in the process of negotiating the internal handle bar size for some round Black bar end style ones with another
ebay shop person. I like ebay... hehe... Not a fan of the Mickey mouse mirrors currently installed...
- Tail light, looking at a smoked LED one, has integrated indicators, but they are a no go over here so won't be hooking
   that feature up...
- Fender eliminator... Yea not a fan of the oversized plastic beer tray like many others, doesn't sound like they are hugely
Frowned upon over my way... But act stupid on your bike...and they will start to take notice.
- Indicators, i'm looking at some smaller LED style ones, but hooking them up is looking like a lot of work which may be a
bit "over my head"and working out to be harder than first thought. But need to suss out how the current ones are
hooked up and if they are split by left side and right side... Otherwise i've found some tiny halogen ones that won't
require me to modify too much wiring and add resistors etc... Just means i have to put up with orange looking indicators.
- Air intake... I'm thinking TPO Beast intake, which then means i have to install a Crankcase Breather filter, still researching
this one and if i will or won't do it. Depending on the amount of noise these air intakes will make, and how much "Extra"
tuning/servicing may be needed to get them working and maintenance needed on the K&N filters?
Otherwise i may just get the K&N air filter that replaces the stock one?
- Maybe some air brushing on the Tank too of Horse if i can get a good image of him. I have a picture in my mind of
having him hanging on to the tank with his claws, and it getting ripped open from him hanging on... if ya no wot i mean?

I have no intentions of putting any carbon on my bike though... Not a fan of that look, but no offence to those that do.

Otherwise that my introduction... Hope you lasted through it and have an idea as to me and my bike...

Welcome.

Great first post.  [thumbsup]

We have a few other members from SA, but the most vocal has been quiet for a while. Business is pulling him from his fun I think.

Enjoy the forum.
