I'm sitting in front of my computer in a pair of leather riding pants trying to break them in a bit.

They're a bit tricky to get on, but pretty comfy once they get there.

This is the only place I felt I could share this information without getting strange responses. [laugh]

Artful

If my boss wouldn't look at me funny I'd be wearing my new set of leathers at my desk.

They're like S&M pajamas theyre so comfy. Again, anywhere else I said that I'd probably be locked up.
Every time I meet a new group of your friends that understand you and your weird sense of humor I'm a little more amazed that there are other people in the world like you that lived through childhood - My loving girlfriend

When I got my first helmet I would sit on the couch and play video games whit it on so i could get used to the weight. My wife walk in and just started laughing at me.

Also, how is one supposed to clean these?

I've ridden for extended periods in riding pants before, and they get odorous. They say not to wash, or dry clean. What's a fella to do?

Most leather pants ( at least the ones I have ) have a sanityzed liner that helps keep the body / perspiration smell to a minimum.

What you can do and what I do is after a ride , just take a sponge or towel and get it wet , not sopping wet and wipe out the inside of the pants , then use a dry towel to wipe out mainly the seat of the inside, then what I do is clothes pin them by the leg openings to the clothe's line in the basement  and let them air dry for a day.

I also use a damp sponge to get rid of any bugs and grime on the outside of the leather , then towel dry .

You'll want to apply something like what I use Lexol leather conditioner every so often . Keeps the leather nice and pliable and looking like new.

Lexol is a milky like liquid , comes in a dark brown plastic spray container that I get at the Auto Parts store for about $10.

Just spray it on the outside of the leather or what I like to do is take a sponge and shoot several sprays into the sponge and wipe the leather until I have done that procedure enough times to have covered all the leather.

It absorbs as you wipe it on.

Takes may be 5 minutes to do.

Same thing w, your leather Jacket and Gloves.

they are disposable, just toss them in a trash can after a few rides and get another pair  ;D
