Hello - I finally got on the forum after Duc L' Smart kept saying to " just do it ".  I would really like to go on the Muenster ride in the morning with y'all if that's O.K. ?

After crashing your events & lurking on the Forum for so long it feels really good to jump in !

Hope you have room for for a Beemer in the flock of Ducs !

Everyone's welcome on whatever bike - we're Equal Opportunity Hooligans.  See you tomorrow  [thumbsup]

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

OK, Beemers and Kawis are one thing but no damn Aprilla's!! [laugh] [laugh] Good, more the merrier! No one will even notice me on the old Gixxer 1000 with all these other non-Ducs in the group. [thumbsup]

Doc's won't know what to do with all of us at lunch. I'm not sitting outside on the patio this time! Too freaking hot!! [drink]

Just got off the phone with the good folks at Doc's; reservations for approximately 16, sometime between noon and 1.

Bring an appetite - this place rocks.

Good work Cher!! She's right, this place rocks and they take really good care of us. [thumbsup] Good old fashioned small town service with a smile. Wow, there menu on their website does not do them justice. Where is all the German food? It's on their menu in real life, they need to update and change their online menu.

FYI I'm bringing a flat tire fixin' kit in my mini tank bag. Plug kit, CYCLE PUMP electric inflator, CO2 adaptor and a hand full of 16gm cartridges. If anyone has an extra plug kit please bring it. I'll handle the heavy duty stuff. I have a good plug kit but it did not like Scott's Michelin on the Ark. trip. Finally Alan tried his plugs (different brand and style) and that worked. It was very frustrating for Scott to have his tire constantly deflating. If we bring it we won't need it... or so the theory goes.

PS  Don't forget to set your TIVO for the British MotoGP on SpeedTV at 3:00pm! Very important! I'm pumped to see Ben Spies in his MotoGP debut, hope he does well... maybe top 10! [thumbsup]

Reality note: Lots of semi new folks and some of their friends are going on this ride, please bring a few "emergency contact" notes to hand out to folks at Starbucks. Have your full name, your contact person(s) name and their home and cell #s on the notes. Just think, what if you didn't really know me and I crashed bad in front of you and the EMS or cops asked you who I was or who to contact? Don't ask me how I know.

Alan(alancb) is bringing his flat tire set and stuff too.  He'll be riding sweep also (thanks Scott for doing this on the last trip).

My first ride with this group.

First, I'd like to say "thanks" to everyone who helped make this happen, from Point to Sweep.   [clap]

Second, this is such a friendly, interesting group, I can't wait till the next time.  I think I enjoyed the pre-ride gathering as much as the ride itself.

Third, it was a hoot riding faster than I generally ride (great route!), especially opening up The Beast on several occasions - God, that ST3 is strong!   [moto]

I wish I could have managed to stay with the tour all the way to Muenster, but I had a family affair scheduled at one.  Next time.

Pura vida!
