Hello Fellow Monster Riders on the Interwebz  ;D

Ok, so for the obligatory intro.

Name: Jawad

Location: Philly (but hail from / lived in various parts of the country and world, including the left and right coasts, and the Republic of Texas, the Middle East and/or Europe). Yes, I know, international man of mystery.

Bike: Monster, what else?! (Specifically, '07 S2R 800)

Riding Since: Well, rode for a bit in 2002-ish, then not again until last year. One full "season" since, and itching to get back out.

Origin of "Handle":  I'm on about 372 forums it seems like (slight exaggeration I'm sure) and still cannot come up with a single, universally suitable moniker, so my initials (jhs) plus S2R seemed like the lazy way to go here. Sorry about that.

What else can I tell ya, I'm mostly here to learn and get advice, I still consider myself a "newbie", and am still fairly terrified (but hopefully in a good, pay attention, don't-get-sloppy kind of way) every single time I get on the bike.

Am married and have an (almost) 7 month old son -- Might have something to do with the above sentence.

So, happy to be here, and please indulge my occasional dumb-ass questions.

And thanks in advance.

Oh and I can't figure out how to post a picture, so if someone would clue me in, I can post a pic of my bike.

Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and the pigs like it...

welcome...

read the board tech issues threads for info on posting pics

Thanks for the welcomes!  (And I found the info on posting pics, how you have to host them someplace like Flickr etc. and then embed a link here. WAY too much of a headache for me, so I don't think I'll be posting pics, but good to know how in any event).

Anyway, keep the shiny side up all.  [thumbsup]
