thanks unseelie, unfortunately it looks like I couldn't change any of my posts, but I did notice that my pictures are all still showing since I linked from outside source... unfortunately, the only way I could think of fixing that issue was to just delete my albums on the outside sources... I'll have to upload the pics again later, and it's a lot of work, but it's worth the effort...

I just sent the mod there a request for a "how-to" to delete my old posts.

I'm going to do that every day, possibly forever.

Just change the name of the pics on the host site. Problem solved...

eh, too late, it was much easier to delete and reupload later than to go in and manually change the photo names  :P

Could've swapped the photos to porn ones with the same name. See how long before someone noticed.

The photo's for my spool install aren't even showing up there for some reason. If they ever do, I'll decide what to do then.

Hey, the old place is now a very good source of reviews for all of the Jap bikes.  Oh, and a Vespa.  Just what I would want out of a Monster page.  To bad they killed my log in.  Just curious, the 23k members they are advertising, is that counting people like me that can't log in to kill their account?

Nope.  Unless I am missing something.  I think you have to log in and go to your profile to delete.  It won't accempt my user name and password.  I tried to contact someone to get things fixed, but no one replies.

VS won't let you delete your account anymore.  Contacted admin to remove my posts and he politely told me to F**k O*F. (Fortunately I had removed quite a few posts / threads)  My IP's for home/shop were blocked for weeks before the take over occurred anyways. (supposedly server problems)

Also wanted my "Monster of the Month" feature removed -- ixnay also. (not worth the $$$ to get a lawyer involved)

I was hoping VS would show up at motorcycles shows, MotoGP or other events like they mentioned upon TOB.  I'd gladly go print t-shirts stating my personal opinion of them and have others wear at the event if they would like.

Hopefully they get their official status as a "Ducati Owners Club" revoked.  That way they can't print / distribute clothing or merchandise with official Ducati logo's or to profit from their association with.

As for the number of users?  Remember a few years ago the user database problem and losing the server for two weeks or so?  The solution after rebuild was then to create new profiles and alias your old name -- it literally doubled the number of user profiles right there.

It was a great place and met a lot of great enthusiasts and friends due to that site.  It's death wasn't needed or warranted.

note: I'm gearing up for a massive advertising and publicity for marketing of my lineup of new aftermarket parts for Ducati's (and other motorcycles).  I can guarantee one thing -- I will never use their services or advertise on one of their websites due to their treatment of myself as a "individual user" within their forums.
