IZ NC sighting..Raleigh & Charlotte

The MsIz and I are flying into Raleigh and making our way over to Charlotte. What are the best areas to book a hotel in for both cities?

It looks like there's a lot going on around Raleigh.

I keep seeing Crabtree. Would that be a good area to stay in?

That likely depends on what you're going to Charlotte for. There's plenty of hotels, but you could find yourself 30 minutes or more away from your activity for the day.

Only place I have experience staying is up near the Speedway. There are some nice business type hotels there. Easy access to I-85 and I-485 from that area. However, you are just outside Charlotte rather than being in the middle of the action.

Sounds good DucC! I think we picked a prime time to visit the state. Nice people, good weather and it looks like things are starting to bloom. We're going to do some touristy things tomorrow.

Rams and Raleigh crew. It looks like we'll be coming back into town Thursday or friday so we'll be around Friday night if you guys are out.

Back in Raleigh. wasn't too impressed with Charlotte. Immediately spotted another Ducati when we rolled into downtown Raleigh on Glenwood around 4:30. Matte black 696. Rider in reflective vest. Looked like added lights on forks?

I really couldn't tell ya JB. Maybe its the season and the trees all look dead? Maybe its the vibe? How spread out everything is? I don't know. Raleigh reminded me more of Austin. I liked it there.
