so I had me some japanese bacon the other night... cured, but no smoke, slab cut. I swear it was damn near a pound of meat on that plate. it was like a steak on the plate. which is fine. but I had also ordered the sake and wasabi sauted pork cheeks, and my friend got the same bacon prepared w/shiro miso...

I'm surprised I'm alive to tell the tale. but it was glorious.

Sound delish, much too good to use for mixed drinks.

It was brought to my attention in the past, so we mixed up some Bacontinis and posted about it on TOB.  Perfectly decent, not very bacon-y.  However, we did learn that bacon makes an AWESOME martini snack.   

I'm thinking that may make for a decent bloody mary. 

I think that someone already posted something similar, but even if it was the same, this is worthy of a derby.
