Hello-I am a first time Duc owner.  Recently bought an '07 S2R1000 and really enjoying it.  I've been riding for 7 years, mostly BMWs.  Currently my husband and I have 6 bikes ranging from a couple older BMW airheads, a sidecar rig, Triumph Speed Triple, '07 BMW F800ST and the S2R. We do most of our riding in the VA/WV area and look forward to meeting and chatting with fellow enthusiasts!  Word of caution though, my computer literacy lags behind that of my 13 year old!  Sometimes I make stupid mistakes, so I will apologize beforehand if I mistakenly step on someones "toes" in a forum or chat. 

I would appreciate hearing any modifications that those familiar with Ducs would recommend to enhance the experience.  The bike I have is 100% stock and I am thinking of getting a taller windscreen, possibly the ZG shield to help with wind fatigue.

My wife just got her first Ducati recently as well.  You might give the monster a try before you try a taller windscreen.  I've found that the fairly clean airflow you get on the monster isn't tiring at all and more comfortable than the inevitable turbulence you get with a taller screen.  I may be weird in this respect - I dunno, but I've not had any wind issues on naked(ish) bikes even on longer rides (have done >1k miles/day on a TL1000S, 919 and bandit 1250 - the 919 is essentially the same as the monster for wind).

As bikepilot mentioned - you might try the monster without it's fairing on. It's easy enough to remove, and cheaper to test with it off. I found it better without. In concession for a long cold weather trip it put it on with an MRA Spoiler screen

On gripe I had was that my fairing (carbon fiber) tended to wobble at highway speeds, not so good. So I also added a set of Poor Duc Rider support stays

The combination of the taller, lipped MRA screen and the buttressing of the stays did a lot to cover me up from the wind. But it cost about $130 for all of it.

Thank you to all for the welcome and suggestions regarding a windscreen.  Over 60mph and I'm really fighting the wind, but I will give it some adjustment period and see how it goes!

Personally I found that the stock fairing tired me out more than none at all... for what it's worth
