I remember some months ago Raux posted a link here to a company that said they offered a speedo fixer for the 696.

He might be able to point it out again.

IMO it's definitly worth it. Double check all the extra little stock pieces you may need to buy in case the slightly used swingarm doesn't come with them already. I'd be glad to answer any questions about this if I hav'nt covered it already. I'm hoping to post some updated pictures of my setup as soon as the weather cooperates.

Also be advised that as soon as your done with this conversion, it may lead you to buy other accessories that have nothing to do with the swingarm swap itself thought I'd stop after that and get maybe some parts over the next year or so. NOPE...Next thing I knew, I had rearsets, triple tree, clipons, oil plug cap, paint, decals, and exhaust ordered the next day. Have fun

Quick hack job to mount the POD lower and give the bike a cleaner line. I used the empty holes on top of the speedymoto triple to attach brackets to and mount the POD lower. I'll get some better pictures another day...

you'll want to flatten the angle on the pod a bit once you start riding

agreed, but the lowest ive seen yet. i wonder if thats only possible with the speedymoto top triple. i guess once i remove my handlebars, ill have some holes to play with too.

actually mine sits lower. the front edge of the triple meets the front lower edge of the dash.

So you cut off the mounts that stick out the top of the headlight?

The screw coming up from the headlight mount and the screw coming down from the pod mount do not interfere?

Any pics of the mount?

I do like how you blended where to cut it, looks sweet, especially if it was Pc'd black, i called it first, doing it.

im not sure any lower is possible with the stock headlight, but i do think this is plenty low enough for me. consider this on the list

ay idea how much that metal bracket is if i ever decide to undo it? (i.e. give the bike to my wife to purchase an ____)
