Ok so its about time to get some rego.

In not sure what i will need so if anyone has the answers, shoot .

The bike has never had registration in any state, So a blue slip is forsure.

What will i need to bring with me when I go for the blue slip ???
If I wasn't who i was, I wouldn't be who I am !

for the blueslip you need nothing

make sure you know where all the numbers are and that everything works

for the RTA , receipt for purchase , price, address , numbers  , id along with the greenslip
i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

ollie

is it an Australian delivered bike, does it have a compliance plate?

mattyvas

Yep it's an Oz delivered bike.
I'd agree with J5
Proof of ownership is a for sure
Greenslip
And the other things listed.

I'd say you should be okay with that list.

edit

you pay stamp duty on the value of the bike 3%

now say for example this bike is a few years old and you bought it new , the current market value is a lot lower than new price so be aware of this

as per above have your reciept including all relevant info including vin/engine numbers and the correct market value ;) so you pay the correct amount of stamp duty ;)

First of all I would like to say how disappointed I am at the lack of smart ass comments .
Heather.... Where are you  ;)

So I have had the bike for a while now and have decided to get it ready for the road . As for the market value , in the current economic climate it's depreciation has been dramatic :)
. It is an Australian delivery and has a C/P so no problems there.

My main question would be what to have ready for the processing of the blue slip. I'm pretty right with the RTA procedures . Just not sure about the paperwork the blue slip guy will need . I know when blue slipping a trailer or car you need a weigh bridge ticket , but in this case I'm not sure.

Now why ever would there be smart ass comments about your impending registration!
It's unheard of here, we are a supportive and caring community who only want to help others.

Now if you lived on Marinduque:
~ You can ride without rego just means you have to bribe the cops if your ever stopped
~ Or just go to the place where you bought the bike and tell them to register it.
~ Pay a few hundred Pesos and you get a plate that says "Rego Pending"
~ And then wait till they get your real plates which can be 6 months or so
~ Oohhhh and your rego only starts when your plate is issued (I got 18 months rego coverage for 12)

Mmmmmmm an 1198 on the island roads...... I'd like to see that....  ;D

Good luck with your AUS rego.....

You sure you remember which side of the road to ride on????????

A brown paper bag with notes could work wonders Vince......    [thumbsup]
Re the market value mate.........at the very most i would say around $10,000,,,?
Gotta be mate....if you go by what you told your lady the Desmo cost you......only $30,000 remember   ;D......... cough cough......... [roll]
Oh yes, and it may be a good idea to take the track tyres off as even the brown paper bag won't help you there........

You might need a Weigh bridge ticket.Usually people getting a blue slip have the old rego with the weight on it easy.
But if never rego'd before means you will probably need one or some sort of manufactures weight specs of the bike as bought new no mods?
Just call the blue slip guy. ;)
You can legally ride it on the road to the weigh bridge and to the Blue slip dude and not via the old road or KV etc [roll]
As you won't have  signed rego from the previous owner , a receipt of ownership is also handy from whom you bought it from, the gestapo at the RTA want to know every thing.

Oh and if you pull your finger out ,shall i put you on the KV ride list for next week  ;D
