Just finished Black Hawk Down

Second time I've seen it. Still just as good.

Always a good choice.  [thumbsup]

Now read "The Road to Unafraid"
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

deckkerd is a replicant the origami unicorn was the other cops way of saying that he knew exactly what he was dreaming the entire time, there is no way that cop would know that unless that was a sort of programmed in thing into a person.

the thing that makes the blade runner movie good is that it was the most far out futuristic movie of its time.  compared to today's movies the special effects and such are sort of a given but remember when it came out it was the only one that gave sorta a real view of the future, not a star trek/star wars sort of sanitized version where everyone is nice.

Makes sense when you break it down like that.

Watched " red riding hood", should have netflixed it.

The wife had been waiting to see this.  Luckily, I had free tickets because I would've been fuming had I actually paid for that!  The festive-dance-scene was comparable to that in The Matrix.  Horrible movie with acting to match.   [thumbsdown]

I really think Hollywood has run out of good original ideas.

I love Bladerunner. Even in this day it's still a class act. [thumbsup] Doesn't ever come across as hokey or dated. At least to me.
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

That's one movie I've never been able to get into. I can't/haven't ever been able to watch it all the way through. I just get so bored and quickly finding myself looking for something more appealing to watch.

No doubt it's a cult classic, but just not for me.  [roll]

Just watched Blade Runner again the other day. Such a great film. It really does an excellent job of combining Noir with sci-fi. The special effects don't look as dated as other movies of the time. And I agree that the vision of the future portrayed is a nice change from all the Star Trek style stuff. I really like the city scenes in Fifth Element and feel they pay homage to Blade Runner.

There's another movie that just left me feeling...confused. I turned it off when it got to the scene with the blue headed alien singing opera.

Updates:

- Bond 23 is apparently alive and will begin filming in November. It is currently slated for a November 9th 2012 release.

-The Dark Knight Rises - As previously states by Nolan, this will be the final chapter for Batman from that which began with Batman Begins. However, it appears that execs at Warner Bros aren't pleased with the thought of killing a yet lucrative franchise. So, at it stands, Batman will get a 'reboot' as is being done in " The Amazing Spiderman" after Rises wraps.

-The Justice League - slated for 2013, with spin-offs of The Flash and Wonder Woman to follow.

-The Jack Ryan reboot staring Chris Pine has been put on hold for various reasons, but namely due to a schedule conflict with Trek 2.
