So I go down there, knowing that they will usually offer a discount on initial purchases if you open up a line of credit with them.  I get there, they have two left and both of them are marked at $399.  Couple that with the 15% discount for getting a store card, and I'm SOLD

Hmmmm ... be right back

And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Just finished one room.  This thing is amazing!!  But I almost had to [puke] when I saw the amount of crap that it pulled up out of the carpet.

That's what I've heard and what's been posted on this thread. Lot's of folks vacuum a room or area with what they have and then hit again with the Dyson once they get it home and whamoo... tons of shit in the canister that the other vac didn't get! Can't wait to pull that home test myself. I just need to get over it (the $$$ part) and bite the bullit. Screw the other bills. Don't see the fur monster not shedding any time soon and I need all the help I can get. ;)

I'm pretty sure that we're going to get one really soon. Now that we're committed to getting one, it's time to shop around for the best price!

My sweetie when out looking earlier but found pricing the same as the mfg which is just outrageous. So I'm going to do some checking tomorrow and see what I can find, but she's really excited to get one. By this weekend we'll be chasing the cats around with a Dyson trying to suck the hair off them before it ever reaches the furniture!!!  [cheeky]

here's an example.  just hope there's not a sniper at the other end.  [leo]  now that I remember I bought a refurbished and had a part missing.  I called and two days later they shipped it.  5  years and no troubles.

Love the Dyson we have!  I can't remember what model it is?  It looks like the DC 33 from the website but with more yellow.  Anyway, that things works great!  The only complaint..I with the smaller, lighter roller ball model would've come out sooner because it's a pain using it on the stairs.

It's also easier to get it in and out of that small circular door at Bag End.

There is no difference in suction power between the different models of Dyson, they all have very similar suction power.
The only difference between them is the size, shape and accessories configuration.
I used to sell Dyson's and I spoke to a service Tech who came up to do some training, he said the suction power is set at a particular throughput to make the cyclonic action work in all stages of the Cyclonic cleaning.

A lot of people used to want to know the power draw and assumed that bigger power draw meant more suction power, but as he explained different canister designs needed different motor power. so comparing by the amount of power it draws told you nothing.

I have the slim upright Dyson DC18 and it has been the best Vacuum we have ever owned, it truly sucks!

But if you look at all the different models you will see they only have different parts and configurations like motorized heads, HEPA filters and various other attachments, also if it is a Ball model or not.

The service Tech also said the biggest problem they used to see was people not cleaning the Air Filter often enough, he used to recommend halving the suggested 6 months, so clean it every 3 months.

Thanks for the reminder. I have the DC25 Animal. The sticker for the filter says to clean every 3 months.
