Both of my bikes are still registered in Hawaii, and are technically expired if you just look at the plates.  BUT, we sometimes have the ever-popular get out of jail free cards with us.   ;D

I have to agree.  I've got plenty of good riding within 30-60 minutes from my driveway!  There are 2 Blue Ridge Parkway access points within 15 minutes, another 3 within 30ish minutes.  I'm surrounded by good roads.  Down side is I have to dodge farm quipment.
