arrick... to finally win, you'll also need to get the tank from this thread ;)

Arrick - you sure you don't wanna go aluminum on the tank?  I can hook you up with Beater if you want  [thumbsup]

ok ok, if the switch makes this bike faster in any way... as long as its a titanium or magnesium switch. AND, as long as said switch is safe, and legal. [coffee]

It's a bit pricey indeed, but I believe it is worth it.

It's 1.5kg (3.3 lbs) lighter and holds 6L (1.6 gallon) more fuel than stock.

i just think its attractive. Maybe paint it? I like that its metal, but it looks homemade (i know, it basically is handmade, just saying)

I think the big thing is that it isn't polished in the photos.  The question is what it would look like polished and cleared...

@jvax, I would definitely consider an aluminum tank. However I’m getting really anxious to finish this build... maybe in phase 2... Which I am already thinking about by the way...

i would think having it brushed would be even sexier...  imagine that bike with the full alum treatment in the orig thread, but cleaned up and all the aluminum brushed to follow the curves of the tank/bike as a extra accent...  would complete the whole look imo.  polished might be a bit too blingy for my tastes...

junior varsity

i'm not sure i see that really 'flowing' with the theme.

then again, if it could be clear-coated with tint in the clear to closely match the ram swingarm, that might be pretty nuts.

Raux

I see two options that would work well with that tank on this bike

Imagine this with black instead of red

or this style

DucatiTorrey

yeah i was thinking of the second one too
