She will depreciate slower than the cash that's sitting in your bank account.   [evil]

no joke.  if she's still around after tax bills I might consider this one a gonner but I'll have to hide it from the wife.  I'll bet there would be no shortage of garages available.

Consider my garage volunteered.  Hell, I might offer to keep it in the house.  (Might get cat hair and baby drool on it, though...)   [cheeky]

sorry Sunshine, you're not a candidate.  You have twins that would use it as a jungle gym and I've seen how "clean" your Motard is. :o

I bought it to ride it, not to wipe it with a silk diaper and whisper sweet nothings into its tail pipes!  [cheeky]

I'm a freakin' fanatic about cleaning and waxing chains.  :P

As far as the rest of the bike...  [thumbsdown]

werd. Modern chains are sealed. Clean 'em & you make the beast with two backs 'em up. A small amount of WD-40 on a rag just to wipe off surface dirt & grit, & you're good to go [thumbsup]

Cher

[coffee]  I haven't found much on my motorcycles that can't be cleaned with WD-40

Sure, that's how it starts with me: get a rag and WD just to wipe the surface; then it's a brush to get in the crevices between links; and then....  [bang]

Ironically, I think the chain is the cleanest thing on my Hyper.  Every 500 miles: WD-40 and fresh wax.  [moto]

cleaning the chain is a waste of time.  :P

Growing up with bikes 40+ years ago riding dirtbikes and racing MX I have chain cleaning/maintenance in my DNA. Chains back then weren't that great, as in no o-ring sealed chains. They needed NASA Space Shuttle type care to last at all. So before every ride the bike goes up on the Pit Bull stand, I check the chain and tire pressure, give the chain another good shot of Maxima chain wax because it's already been cleaned and waxed after the last ride I took. Which will happen again after the next ride. I hit the chain while it's still hot from the ride with WD-40 to clean it, wipe it down and give a soaking with the spray wax. Old habits die hard. :)
