We know :)

Welcome. There's plenty of folks here who don't have a monster. Some used to, some never we don't really care.

Have you had a chance to take a Multi 1200 for a sin yet? Quite a different beast than the older multis.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

I think it will be several more miles before I'm ready for a bike like that.

Good thought though! :)

Bike like that? How do you mean?

Yes the new Multis have a lot more power available than the old, but the new throttle management if brilliant. You can tone down the power and/or throttle response curves depending on what mode is selected. It's a great ride, and while there's a lot of power on tap, it doesn't feel like it'd run away at all.

My monsters a tuned up 900ie, but still probably only makes in the low 90's at the crank - not like I'm use to super powerful beasts

Welcome  [clap]  I quite like the new and old multis - rather fancy a stripped down, hyper-tardish multi myself.  Maybe that'll be my next project  ;D

Multistradas are perfect in New England, so you have a great bike for Maine.

Or are you in that Johnny-come-lately Portland over on the left coast? Prolly OK there, too...

Sad Panda - nice Freudian slip, there.
