FYI Guys (and gals)

Per the suggestion of a member on the Ducati Community, we’re going to start a pool (kind of) for closest guess at the new weight of the bike. I’ll dig around for some Ducati swag to give to the closest guess. If you want to throw your name in the hat, post up your numbers here: http://ducati.kontain.com/arrick/entries/58268/one-quick-shot-before-the-onslaught-of-photos-that-will-come-this-weekend/

Hey Arrick--
tell your bosses to open up the Monster Challenge contest worldwide next time. I live in Germany (American though with a US Spec bike) so I can't enter. I only saw like 6 bikes...

or at least give exemptions for people who work for the military overseas.

Raux, is your bike here in the states or in Germany?

Raux,

As a gesture of our respect and appreciation for our troops, we will make an exception for you as an active member of the US Armed Forces. We would be honored to have you participate and if you make it to the finals, we’ll have your bike shipped to Indy and give you a VIP Ducati MotoGP experience just as we would for any of the other finalists.

Do me a favor and let me know which post is yours after you’ve submitted it. Also, just out of curiosity... which branch of the military are you in?

Looking forward to seeing your bike in the challenge!

Arrick, thank you.. but I cannot accept based on a misconception.
I work for the Army as a government employee.

I served in the Air force previously. As an Army civilian, I have been in Kosovo, Bosnia and Iraq on short missions, but never in danger (unless you count sitting in a C-130 travelling through northern Iraq low enough to draw enemy fire... on purpose according to the loadmaster so they can help out the SF guys... as in danger)

We have a few members on this forum who are active duty and I would hope that if that is the required criteria that you would extend that to them.

Never been a fan of gold on a motorcycle.  This motorcycle has changed my mind on that.  What a great looking Monster.

Well done,

Jim

That bike is so beyond the word gorgeous.

Quick question, really not trying to be nit picky, but the bike is so good all I can do is pick nits......why did you go with a white Ducati logo instead of going gold on it?

All logos are gold accept for Ohlins, which I definitely considered going gold with... still might...
