Are you supposed to be able to take it out from the center of the basket like on the right or is it supposed to be super tight like you cant budge it like the one on the left??

Mine slid out without much fuss.  It's a close fit, so with the oil and all it might feel tight.

There was a report here a year or two ago of one seizing up on a M695 and causing some operational difficulty.
