Hey guys and gals, I'm looking for opinions on what you all consider the quietest least windy helmet.  My first helmet was an Arai Signet then followed by an Arai Quatum.  I wrecked thosed and tried the KBC helmet VR then the KBC Race.

The VR was the windiest noisiest helmet ever, nice and light but bring the noise!  The KBC RACE was better at the noise and comfort but windy all around.

I'm thinking of going back to Arai's but want to get opinions on the helmets you own (or have owned) and which ones were the least noisy and least windy.

thanks.

Wear earplugs and stick w/ a Shoei or an Arai w/ wind curtain.

I swear by my Shark RSR2 and my custom ear plugs.  It's almost silent and no high pitch whistles.  The helmet is awesome with no ear plugs as well.
Can you imagine a world without a Ducati???  I think it's called Hell. :)

Less wind noise = less ventilation

Unless where you ride it never gets above 80 degrees, I'd advise against going for the quietest helmet.  Even the most sealed helmet will have more wind noise than the most ventilated with earplugs.  Just find some earplugs you like, whether they are disposable or not, and go for that instead of cutting down on ventilation.

That said, there are plenty of really well ventilated helmets that reduce the "bobble head" effect.  I had huge bobble head problems with my HJC, but none with my Arai.
carbon fiber Superbike front fender, bar end mirrors, floating cast iron rotors, carbon fiber chin fairing, Cycle Cat frame sliders, Arrow carbon fiber low mount slip ons, Rizoma billet cam belt covers w/ plexi windows, Rizoma billet front sprocket cover, billet handlebar clamp, carbon fiber rear hugger, tail chop, open air box, Corbin seat, stainless clutch springs w/ black keepers, suicideless sidestand bolt, Evoluzione clutch slave cylinder

defineitly Shoei X-11 with a wind curtain is by far best i have riden with and very well ventilated, the only noise is from my bike and on the long rides ears plugs can be handy, although i dont like riding with them, second for me would be Arai CX-7

With ear plugs you are not only cutting down on the wind noise .....but saving your hearing!  ! Earplugs are kinda like safety gear. They might seem uncomfortable at 1st but they serve a more important purpose.....saving some part of your anatomy.

I think head shape has a lot to do with wind noise in a helmet.  The tighter the sides are to your ears, the less wind commotion.  Buy whatever is comfortable and then wear earplugs.
