Yeah I am still in search for something... It may not be a ducati though. I am not really a harley person but I do really like the look of those retro Nightsers and Irons. I know Ducstew had one and loved it.

not a bad idea.  just keep in mind the limited suspension travel in the rear on those things.  significantly reduced cornering clearance means you will have to ride it differently than you are used to.  not necessarily a bad thing, just something you should be willing to accept.

i myself picked up a victory kingpin recently.  pretty nice ride, but i have a hankering for more cornering prowess so i'm now looking into a beemer too
