Earlier in the week, I went down there before work to
pay a speeding ticket.

Watch out on the DNTollway!  $204 for out of date
inspection.
$300 for 88 in a 65.  :o

I was respectful to the trooper, but he seemed grumpy.
I can't help it if my little 695 is faster than most of
the cages :'(

I literally took care of the exact same scenario about three weeks ago.  They hit me for 300 bucks doing 86 in a 65 on the DNT and for the inspection.

I got the inspection dropped, and if you agree to pay the same day, its like 200 bucks and you'll get ONE day deferred adjudication.  So in the end, nothing on my record.  I couldn't believe the prices they had though.

Lawyers chime in........as if they will do it for free BUT
The Tollway is NOT a Governmental entity but established under statute (quasi).  The road is considered private and yet state troopers roam freely?  When you get a ticket it doesn't go on your record and no deferred adjudication.  How is it that troopers can canvas the tollway then?  What am I missing here?
Can we thin the gene pool?

Why were you only doing 88?  Why did you stop?   [cheeky]
