Just for the record...

the first helmet I ever owned was  Bell Star 90. It was the first full face helmet available.

The year was 1972.
Interested in the helmet so reading the review, but then I saw the date. Wow, I didn't know they even had motorcycles back then.

Good review though.

Bringing this back from a good while ago.......

I tried on a Bell Star yesterday at Laguna Seca

I wear a Large Arai Astral and both the Large and Med Bell Stars were very sloppy on my head -

The Small fit perfect !! Am I suffering from some head shrinking syndrome or could this really be true??

Anybody else have FHE?
Desmosedici - it's the new Paso (except the bodywork doesn't fit as well)

I must have a big noggin because my bell star is a large and is perfect.

Going to have to try them out when I'm looking for a new lid next time!

A large Bell Star fits me well.  I wear a large RF900 and either a large or medium Arai depending on the model.  A medium RX7 with thin cheek pads just fits my head, a large RX7 is just right, maybe a touch sloppy.  Anyway, I really like the Star, cool, comfy, well made, great visor system.  I've had mine for ~3yrs now I guess and have ridden across the country twice in it now + daily commuting.

I'll have to try another one somewhere else

I can't believe the Small I tried on was a small.......

thanks for the replies!!

Jeebus Nate, those were a thing of beauty back in the day, the only thing nicer was an AGV like Ago had. You got any Bates leathers in the closet?

Looks like Bell has turned the corner again. I'll have to check them out before I buy my next lid. About 4 or 5 years ago I was in a Tuesday Morning around xmas and ran across an endcap filled with full coverage Bells selling for 49.95
