In addition to riding to work for a new  project  in NJ when I can (160 mile round-trip through metro-NY traffic... And I've come to realize that those "No Trucks or Buses in the Left Lane" on the Cross-Bronx Expressway mean nothing), I've decided to meet up with the NYC riders from this board Saturday. They're riding out from Manhattan to Oyster Bay where Billy Joel has a motorcycle shop/museum. Oyster Bay is a historic little village (first settled in the mid-1600's).

I will take some photo's of Billy's collection.
Nobody said that I did. Everyone says that I would.

Good to hear from you Nic, enjoy your  [Dolph]
...and yes, pictures please [thumbsup]

Where from NY/NJ are you from? I grew up on the south shore of NJ, mostly near LBI.

Long Island- Huntington, specifically, on the North Shore, which was called the Gold Coast a century ago. It is the prettiest part of the Island- not the typical suburban sprawl which most people think of when Long Island (birthplace of Levittown) is mentioned. And not the flat terrain of the South Shore, either.

Oyster Bay is one of many villages with harbors on the North Shore off Long Island Sound. It is about 15 miles from where I live. I am looking forward to viewing Billy Joel's collection of bikes.

I have never been to the Coffee at Dawn i actually just moved here from Dallas and have not done much riding here in NM. I have been to the crest once and it was with a passenger so i really want to get some riding in while the crest is open again. I didn't realize there were many other duc   riders here in NM. I rairly see another duc on the road but with this forum sounds like there is plenting of riding going on [clap] [clap] [clap] [bow_down]
