We did make a slight change to the kit but not done for safety reasons.   If there is ever a question of safety we would contact each and every customer directly.  We're glad you love the product.  You would not notice while riding the bike but we determined a bushing in the swingarm pivot was not functioning properly.  It  was binding slightly so we did make an improvement.   We can send you the spacers, no charge, to install.   This will allow the suspension to move more freely.

I love woodcraft, they make a solid product and I've never been disappointed in their quality, no matter what product I've seen. I also have first hand knowledge that the peeps there are awesome, standup folk.

That said, anything that is interfering with proper suspension travel is a safety concern, and if the above is true, they ought to contact ALL of the buyers. Just saying.

I don't have my bike in front of me but I can't see how mounting the sets w/out the spacer would cause binding??

Regardless, I'll keep it installed.

I also have been REALLY impressed with woodcraft's parts and customer service. They have been great to work with. My clipons and rearsets were both top notch!!

I can't wait to see what is in the works!!!!

Just wanted to update this thread.

Made a few changes to the exhaust on my bike. Same setup but modified the tip in order to reduce the dB's so I am track compliant.

I made the baffle out of these mini muscle baffles.

They were cut to length, some of the welding on the existing baffles had to be ground down so they slid in perfectly.

I was surprised with the high quality of the baffle. Bought 2 of them in the 1 3/8" size and they fit perfectly snug in the existing tip. Drilled a hole through the baffle and into the existing baffle that is welded in and screwed in a self tapping screw.

Worked perfectly. Greatly reduced the volume, it's basically perfect. The only down side is a lot of the bass was suppressed by the new baffle. Good news is, the baffle is removable and re-installable.

I plan on buying a second tip from Ryan and hopefully getting my hands on the new gen baffle he mentioned in the email I got from him today.

Leftover baffle after being cut to size

After doing the above mod to the exhaust tip adding baffles, I was concerned about increased heat due to slower gas flow. In order to combat this, and to honestly do what I have wanted to do from the start, I created a template of the underside of my bike, then proceeded to cut some sheet metal (forget thickness) which perfectly fits the under seat area of the bike. (mounts using existing bolts)

I attached adhesive backed thermal insulation to the metal sheet on the hidden side and installed the heat shield after coating it black.

The entire underside of the bike is now hidden from view, it looks great.

The plastic tank and various other plastic under the seat is thoroughly insulated from heat.

I also wrapped my pipes in ti wrap to help contain the heat.

I still have the template if anyone else wants it. Will fit 696, maybe 796/1100 with some minor changes.

Cool idea with the heat shield.  I am interested in seeing the pics of how it turned out.

Considering a single 7" headlight swap similar to doworksons so I can lower the gauge pod and get 1" rise clipons and tighten up the look of the front end.

Believe it or not it is a standard 160. However compare it to the rear tire in the earlier photos and you can see it is significantly bigger.

It seems that the Mich Pilot Power 2ct's are a pretty beefy tire, giving the appearance of a 170 or so.

Great GREAT tires by the way, compared to the stock battalax shit.
