I have a new project, my single sided swingarm S4. I will change a few things around to give the bike a fresh look. Trouble is I'm having "writers block" of sorts. I can't seem to come up with a color scheme that convinces me will look good. So I'm counting on you select fine individuals of impeccable taste to provide some consulting.  ;D

I have an extra tank that was dented and an extra rear cowl. I'm having the dent repaired but haven't decided on what color to paint the tank. I will have the cowl painted to match as well.

As it stands I will have a few other changes/additions made to the bike. Here's the list of what will be added.
1. A resprung, revalved 749 rear showa shock
2. Wheels powder coated (not decided in color...something to flow with the tank)
3. Powder coat SSS (not decided in color....see above  :P)
4. Full CF Arrow shotgun exhaust, the pipes will be ceramic coated black.
5. Cycle Cat rearsets
6. Will be purchasing a new sprocket hub and chain to go with the new look of the bike.
7. New SBK CF front fender and new shorty CF rear hugger
8. Tail chop

The tank/cowl will influence the rest of the bike so I would appreciate visuals. Please post up pics of any Monsters with the silver frame that look kickasstic.  [thumbsup]

I think the swingarm and the engine should be the same color, either both silver(ish) or both black. [thumbsup]
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

Silver & royal blue are an awesome combo. You could polish the swinger unyil it matches the frame and then paint the tank and cowl royal blue with a fat silver stripe down the middle.

Pedro-bot

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'm not tearing the bike down to paint the frame so I'm going to work with the silver.

Here's El Matador's suggestion, which I like.
Gold wheels too much?
Brown suede or alcantara reupholstered seat?

I know, I know............my skills are lacking.  :-X

Thoughts?

The blue and gold thing is horrendous.

I think you should just paint the rear wheel to match the front and swing arm to match the frame and be done with it. It would look awesome.

I'm with you on this.  Original bike looks fine, just needs some refinement and no need for a total repaint.  Red and Silver were made for each other.

The Senna colors are by far my favorite. Red frame/wheels with dark gray tank and seat cowl  [drool]

I can see why you want to change it up.

I mean the bike looks good as it is, but you definitely have an odd distribution of colors - lots of black at the back, red up top, silver mid & front.

That said, I personally would change the color of the frame and swingarm first.

Flat black with a silver frame. The official colors of awesome in 2003.  ;D
