I plan to ride up with the gang leaving from Starbucks Friday morning, then zipping back down 550 Sunday for the trip home.  Reckon I can find gas for the MHe at regular 90 mile intervals?   ???

Why? Why? Why?!!!  [bang] [bang] [bang] :'( :'( :'(

This means you spend the Saturday with us and solo on Sunday back?! Well, if that is what it is, we will make the best of it two days for ya to NOT DO THIS NEXT TIME... [cheeky] Mine goes into reserve always between 85 to 87 miles on clock, so we should be good except on one highly technical route 92 that we did last time...I almost stretch rolled into the gas station and then, my bike did better on gas! I may carry a tube & use Bernoulli from other monstrosities out there...!

Glad you are making it! I cant wait to go...! [Dolph]
Ride forever...

JJ, The more important question is, How many miles do you "really" have in reserve. If we're talking highway miles, I can get twice (Yes, twice) that mileage out of my 1098S. A few of you have witnessed it multiple times.  And yes, I'm going fast enough to get busted.  But when talking Crest runs like so many people do 'em. It's a make the beast with two backsing miracle anyone gets anything over 80.
Squeeze is always better than jerk...and that's across the board.  ;D

Oh, And on another note, The next time any of you see that old bastard on the Duel Sport thingy. Kick him in the nuts for me.    I am a bicycle racer. I do NOT take up any of the road going up. & going down the Crest, Most (and all cars) will have a tough time staying with me on the upper section.  I was going down as he was going up last week & saw him pass "dead" blind. I was far enough inside that he got between the car & I, but if it were motorcycle or car, All hell would have broken out. I'm talking like 3ft. Could have put my foot out & touched him.

Hey you old prick.  Just because you have no respect for your own life... Leave ours alone.

Ride safe. Rage on Ducs!
I promise to make better mistakes tomorrow.

I think it's funny when matt gets mad at me when i run out of gas on the moto...but i do that to see how far i can go on my reserve...i have tested this many times [laugh]

I completely agree with KB, that guy is scary and i try to avoid him as much as possible..he is a crazy cracker

You will be fine Scott. The total distance is less than 280 miles for you and the following pit stops should do the job:
Ouray-Durango 70 miles, Durango-Bloomfield 45 miles, here is where it gets tight... Bloomfield-Cuba 88 miles. I do remember a gas station before you get to
Cuba on the left hand side if you need it. Cuba - Albuquerque 80 miles.

Even though I will be spending this weekend in the basement of a building in lovely Newark, NJ, I am feeling the excitement as it builds. Mouse is so revved up I fear she may explode.

Ride safe & party hard, you all.
Nobody said that I did. Everyone says that I would.

I kinda meant on the ride route Saturday around Colorado.  I'm told fuel can be a little far between out in the Boonies.   ;)
