I'm PD sure those are Campagnolo magnesium wheels as I was going to buy a set from Reno until he told me that they had a "sell by date" of at best three years. Reno is an honest guy!

Ah, yeah..  The FPS and Campagnolos were identical.  I have a set of the FPS on my Darmah, they look the same, just a bit closer to new...

FYI

As "unusual" as that headlight looks, some fairly extensive wind tunnel work must have been done on that unit, combined with the new-style bikini fairing and mirrors. I first noted this when I test-rode a 696 and had fogotten my ear plugs. My Schuberth helmet (C1 = Concept) had become almost silent at 65 MPH. Amazing!

For the last couple of years I've been tooting around on a T-100 Bonneville. Now, I'm 5' 8+", but my son who is 6' 3" and wears a C2 noticed the same thing when he first rode my 796. Almost silent! The buffeting on the T-100 can also be pretty severe at 70 MPH. On the 796 I'm not even getting half that much buffeting at 90 MPH, which is as fast as I've been while it's still bedding in.

there is a whole thread on here about how old lights look better on new monsters, and new lights look better on old monsters, its funny. There are some pictures too, search for it sometime.
