Did a search and couldn't find much.

Parking my bike outside work under a throw over cover in Surry Hills makes me nervous on the best of days. Very well the dodgy shenanigans that have been going on lately. I park it literally 200metres away so I'm rather interested in one of those two way alarm thingys.

Something like http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Voyager-5000M-Motorcycle-Alarm-/110734447069?pt=AU_Motorcycle_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19c84991dd

Have any of you got one or similiar?
or used one?
Which one?
Love em?
Hatem?

Cheers y'all

Hey mate, why not look at the Factory plug in alarm?
By the time you add fitting to the Voyager, you may be close to the cost of am OEM one.

I did contemplate that. But for $350 its fairly featureless (as with alot of Ducati OEM stuff, i think i'll be paying for the logo)... Ive also read some pretty ordinary reviews. That said - nothing positive or negative on the one im looking at either...

I do like the 2-way notification feature on the voyager (and other brands) the benefit being if it goes off, I can get up from my desk, walk 10 meters, look out the window and catch the prick who has just toppled over his scooter onto mine.

if you are contemplating an alarm i would suggest

beware most of these types of alarms dont work through thick concrete as my mate found his R1 missing after watching a movie
i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

This one works all right for me around home, not that transportable though...

My last bike got stolen... on my 07 s4r I had my dealership install the scorpio sri-900 2 way fm alarm system. I love it pretty reasonable. I didn't want anything with reoccurring costs such as low jack or something like that. The system I have has a perimeter sensor which goes off if someone or something is within about a foot of the bike.. kinda annoying sometimes but nice, shock sensor etc.
