Saw everyone leaving Starbucks this morning, it looked fun. I got back from vacation last night to a dead battery (I think the alarm is draining it).  I killed a Shorai in a week without riding and a standard in 2 weeks :( On the night shift now for 7 days so I'm dead to the world for a week, hopefully in 2 weeks I'll be able to meet up and ride.
The question is not how far? The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed?

Not the normal group Sunday ride, but it was still fun.

Different, but fun.

We used to ride like that all the time with our former group captain, just not as many in the group though.

Not your MSF approved ride.  [laugh] [laugh]  Did you notice how tight & fluid the front group was? It's a different ride for sure and the awareness radar has to be scanning fast & full time.

Make no mistake, some of the old rides got very crazy at times. Nothing like you guys saw today, or at least the parts that I was on. The wet roads had a big influence on that for sure. I'm not advocating some of the old crazy but for the most part I miss that stuff.   [Dolph] [Dolph]
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Ahhh... Some of the old crew came out? Any chance Emile was back on the island?
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Sadly, no Emile. We had a couple guys from our old group there who haven't been around lately and then about six or seven others that used to race with them in the days when we had a track.

No worries. If the roads had been drier and had less traffic on them then you might have missed something.  :o  ;D  [evil]

Wet over here, but clearing...I guessing the usual route is damp/wet so I'm going to pass this morning, too many things to do anyways...maybe I'll do a short ride later.

Hope to see you guys for the Sept 18th JJ ride...in the meantime I'll be thinking of you guys while I'm riding some of SoCal's finest roads early in my trip and then you feel for me while I'm suffering in Houston's heat later in the trip...

Almost had a damaged 848 today.  Got a little overconfident hotsy-totsy in a 1st gear right-left in the lower section of Tantalus. PTL. Just cut grass and not even any grass stains!   [roll]  ;D  Got on the throttle a tad early and not enough push on the left bar coupled with a wet patch. It's all good.   [Dolph]
