Well finally made ot back to the east coast. Its been about 14 years since I've spent any time here other than layovers to Europe. Again here, retracing some steps our family had during some long summer road trips across the US. Stopping by Niagra Falls, Boston, New York, DC. But the part i was looking forward to was riding through the back roads of upstate New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and as plans changed, to the far reaches on Nova Scotia.

Being the birthplace of a nation, you quickly get inundated by American history. Seems like the US has museums, like the rest of the world has temples, shrines and churches. After a while they all look the same. Moving on... New York was amazing. I was genuinely excited when i stepped out of the first time to the light of then big city. Everything seem just like it would in the movies. All the buildings are perfectly aligned. As you look down a street they disappear into the horizon in a perfect line. Walked around NY for a few days taking in a Broadway musical and visiting all the major sites. Hopped up to New Hampshire, Maine, DC and Canada to visit some of my fellow DMF's. Then rode out to the end of the earth, or at least as far east as i could go on the bike. Had some long nights camping with wind and rain storms so i gave up on hanging around the area and exploring. Also Hurricane Irene was coming our direction so i want to get back to a safe location before she arrived.

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it
