(Disclaimer, please note the following was approved to be posted by the Teff ,after continuous harassment due to his injury's caused by an attempt to get closer to nature,
his typing wrist  is a bit sore but ,i think that was from a previous repetitive strain injury from polishing something to much )
(Please note The above statement was witnessed by Dez/Two Dogs JP) ;)

At the reluctance of elevating Teff to celebrity status ,i agreed to post up some pictures after continuous beggin, and harassment  [roll] [roll]

On sundays weekend coffee ride to Wiseys just north of the ferry Teffs MV Augusta (will now be known as the Widow maker) suffered a catastrophic rear wheel bearing hub failure.
Fortunately Teff suspected something was up ,and reduced speed only to come off on a rather wet gravel strewn corner at a a low speed in front of Dez.

Teffs immediate recaction was to save his beloved MV, and in an heroic act of self sacrifice stayed under the bike as it hit the road to minimise the damage.skin and bone grow back
Teffs heroic act worked, with the result of  very minimul damage  :P

Teff shedding a tear for his beloved MV

Teff Soldiered on  in to the sunset to take the lead home, and do a lap of the old road buggered bike and all [Dolph] [laugh]

Hi. I’m Troy McClure. You may remember me from such self-help tapes as “Smoke Yourself Thin” and “Get Some Confidence, Stupid!”
NYTimes: "...highlights of his global tour include encounters with Nelson Mandela, an 800-year-old demigod and a dildo collector."

I imagine there would have been far more sympathy if Brian had of crashed his other (clearly classier) steed. But then again, the s4r wouldn't have suffered mechanical failures now would it?  ;D

Problem was Rob S  this

Way too small, these........the main problem

Ballbearings were found in the brake caliper too......everything to do with the hub was affected.....a major design flaw, known by everyone........except MV heirachy.......cough cough    [roll]

suzyj

So what you're saying here is that the problem isn't so much an inability to ride the bike as an inability to maintain it?

Seriously though I'm glad you weren't badly hurt, and that the bike also wasn't badly hurt.

Shit Brian glad your Ok! Bike look like it held up well except for the expensive hub damage. [bang]

For you reference I dropped into Trooper Lu's Garage in Liverpool about a month ago where the owner said go for a 2011 bike as they have fixed the rear hub failure issue! Brian you may want to follow that up as I believe they have alot to do with the imports of MV.

The quote with regard to the "cough cough we don't know anything about this issue" sounds very typical of Harley Davidson! I have had aquaintences with the same issue when it came to their Buells.

Take care Brian and heal well and I will see you at the Concourse on the 18th

Back in action Rob [thumbsup]
