Legally speaking, you'll probably have to be the one to test it.  Or at least be present, at time of testing and then take the item back into your possession immediately there after.

I also don't own anything that would accept a suppressor.

So I guess I'll have to get something

Get a longer, threaded barrel for your .45 and go from there.

Of course, I'd rather see you focus on a nice tidy 5.56mm application though.

Seems like all the designs out there are just trial and error setups.

I can play that game.

Hope to be sitting on my back patio silently taking shots at the turkey vultures in the next few months.

When you do... get something with a bull barrel, then machine your own threads to the barrel.  Suppressors must be lined up dead nuts to be effective and accurate.  Your best bet would be a bull barrel turned down to standard barrel diameter for the last 5 inches or so with a taper on the muzzle, smooth, then threads and a taper between diameters.  Make sure you cut super accurate threads.  Then, when / if you built a suppressor for it, you can have most of your expansion chamber behind the muzzle, and the heaver baffle section not slung quite so far out in front.  Tapers on the very rear and where the muzzle sits keep the device centered accurately.  It goes without saying you'd be single-pointing the threads... but with a CNC that shouldn't matter at all.

Kev, if you want to copy learn from a design, try to get a look at either the Knight's Armament or Surefire pieces. Both of those are top notch designs, with the Surefire alleged to be the most accurate.

September has been the best month yet at the shop. Probably double the best previous month.  And with 3 days to go there is a good chance I can increase this by another 25 percent.

I got a packet to quote for a customer that I had always hoped to do some business with.  I thought it was going to b 1 part, but it turned out to be 3.

Good potential for a 1 year blanket order on all 3.

My machine has turned out to be pretty much awesome.  It seems to hold diameters within tenths part to part.

The high pressure coolant is ridiculous.  I'll never have another machine without it.

This thing is like a 12,000 pound metal eating god.

Mechanical failure knocked the turret out by like 1/2" :o

Service guy should be here tomorrow morning.  We'll take good notes so I don't have to call him again.
