Hey everyone -

My name is Andy, I live in Chicago. Just got my first Ducati and first bike, a 2000 Monster 900. It's quite the machine but the price was right and I'm in general a very careful person and always ride in gear. Had it a couple weeks now, still haven't taken it past half throttle. I'll get there eventually. I'm sure loving it! Perfect city machine.

It's been down a couple times (not by me, yet) so it's not pretty but runs mostly well except for battery and I suspect now the voltage regulator. So far it's been in the shop as much as it's been with me.

I'm looking for a front fender and some rear turn signals, although I'm thinking about going for LEDs or an integrated tail light soon, since the tail fairing is cracked anyway.

Anyway, see you around!

welcome to the board Andy. glad you are enjoying the bike. make sure and check out the accessories and mods section for info on different rear end treatments (tail chop for instance.) also check out the parts for sale/parts wanted threads for those replacement parts you are after. many members have the stuff sitting around and would be more than happy to sell it to you.

lastly, if you haven't already,..consider taking the MSF course.

Thanks herm! Just went on a parts binge... very helpful community here!

And yes I took the MSF course, I'd recommend it for anybody, even experienced riders. I wouldn't have considered getting a bike without it.
