[thumbsup] Now, that was worth the last scrub on the loyal Pilots...the tires are going and new Pirellis coming...quite a blast for me downhill...was worth it...The VStrom- yes that one, stayed behind and had some serious fun hearing the desmo.... ;) Awesome gathering...Karl-Pam, Caleb, Larry, Jose, Larry 2, Chris, Tony & The Vstrom..good showing considering the hooligans are finding other pleasures...where r u folks?!?
Ride forever...

Scott 3 goes down...

Should have waited for you guys to head up.

Just past the ski area:

Scrubbed my shifter hard.
Single point focus.
Went down in soft dirt off the side.
Bike would not restart.
Rolled down hill to the next parking area.
Waited for the wife with the trailer.

Result:
Banged up shoulder, still in one piece.
Dented tank and dirt crammed where dirt should not be.
Bike started when the cavalry arrived.
Got Lucky.

I'll be out again.  Bike seems fine, just scratched and dirty.
Ego as bruised as my shoulder.

Saw you all going by, some of you seriously cruising.

Anyone have a connection for a new tank and a new dash?   [laugh]

P.S. my wife is awesome.

Zaster

Sorry to hear that Scott...glad you are OK  [thumbsup]
What model and year is your monster?
Kudos to your wife [clap]

Oh crap, that sucks. You gotta count your blessings though. You're all right, and it sounds like the moto could have had it harder. Glad you're safe.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Feeling pretty decent the day after.  Shoulder is still pretty sore.

Karl:  Mine is an '03 620.  I think the take is fixable, but I will need to get a new front bezel for the dash.

Larry:  I saw you looking over, and don't worry about it.  It was a learning experience, and I tend to lear better on my own.

I will try to get out with you guys again next sunday.  Bike will be in a bit of cosmetic disrepair, but is fine otherwise.

I will definately wait for he group this time...  ;)

Brian Pierson at EMP Motors in Cali might have ya covered, or WoundedDuc (less likely, specializes in track worthy bikes).  Maybe ebay?

Sorry to hear you got off.  Holler if something isn't working right.
