You should only own one bike, anything more is unfair on those who can't own one.
So I have one bike for the road and one bike for getting off the road!

The moment of purchase after the guy I bought it from picked his jaw up off the ground from my first offer......

And on the way home from far enough West that it took a good day to get there and back, but 385k's and one tank of fuel with still 1-2 bars showing on the gauge....

[clap] very nice, well done. By all accounts they are a great bike.  [thumbsup]

Worse though if you don't ride them.

Congrats on the new bike Matty.

Here's a few pics of my 620..

I thought this bike looked strangely familiar when browsing through. Then it hit me - it's mine! I'm now the owner of 'Ruby' (as I call her). The forks, brakes, stickers and those damn reflectors, which I still haven't removed, give it away. She hasn't changed too much since these photos, but there are a few mods incoming. Dual headlights and a CF front fender should arrive any day. I've also got a 'Ducati Performance' tank protector & bag ordered. Other plans include a couple more CF pieces but nothing over the top. Other than that, I've also got some black header wrap on there, as the owner prior to me had put on some white wrap which ended up filthy and crumbling.

A couple of more up to date photos:

Rowdy

Leaky fuel tank called for a new paint job. Thought "why not change the look".

Picked her up this morning from Speedys.

I like it.

Well played Rowdy ... interesting colour scheme.

Do you have a shot of the tank ... to show the striping?

Oh yeah. I've got photo's of everything! I took about 150 or so yesterday.

I didn't really break into a sweat trying to develop the paint scheme. I was attracted to the blue and white with the offset centre stripe and I still had the blue frame and white wheels that I didn't want to change. My words to Tim at Speedys was to flip it, and make it pop. White with blue stripes. The pearl is really clean and looks sweet in the sun. The blue DUCATI and stripes are painted on and the whole thing is smooth as silk and looks like a mirror.

Ok. It wasn't cheap......
Also, I needed to have the leaking fuel tank repaired.
To have the guys at Qld Motorcycle Panel and Paint repair the tank and paint everything cost $1200. Hand painted stripes and decals etc (no stickers).
Their website is worth a look, http://www.qmpp.com.au/

I had Newlook paint all the fairings on my 1098s, including custom ghost flames done and that cost me $1800.
http://www.yellowpages.com.au/qld/wilston/newlook-motorcycle-spray-painting-12899284-listing.html

Both guys make the quality of the standard paint look embarrassingly bad for Ducati, especially the 1098. The monster wasn't too bad but looking at what the quality is now.....

I'd say QMPP would be my pick but I would use either company again.
