Hi everybody! My name is mick, I am 54 and have been riding since I was 16. The usual Jap bikes came and went, and since 1990, all my bikes have been Italian or British. I must confess to being a Guzziphile, having owned 5 Mandello marvels. Earlier this year I had an artificial shoulder joint fitted, and since returning to riding, 8 months after the op, I found my 1200 Griso just too heavy to ride properly, due to excess weight mainly. So,last saturday saw me picking up a pristine, 3 months old, 1000 miles on the clock, 1100 evo. Because it weighs 100lbs less, it is a joy to throw about, and me shoulder has a much easier life, which is important when using the prodigious performance! As a bonus, the bike came with Ducati panniers, so the annual Euro jaunt is still on. I'm thrilled to bits with this, my first Ducati, and I intend to be a regular poster. Bye for now, Mick.

;D Hi Stephen! Yeah, we're almost neighbours, apart from the Irish sea LOL! Good thing there are a couple of old heads on board to keep these youngsters in check! On a different note, what has happened to the weather? Last week, as I picked up my bike, it was 29degC, and very sunny. Today, 12degC and hailstorms!
