Yeah, he's got nothing left to prove at this point. He's been there, done that. He could hang it up right now and be proud about what he's done. Like Bayliss, nothing wrong with saying screw it and walking away in one piece. [thumbsup] [bow_down]
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

Already looking forward to next season. [thumbsup]

Also pretty curious about the round in Russia.

The French round used to wrap up the season before Portimao came on line.

That's great!! [thumbsup] I really like Davies and his addition to the grid will make up for the loss of the Yamaha Italia team. A part of me was hoping he'd stay in WSS and repeat as champ. But he and the Park N Go team will be a welcome asset to WSBK! [popcorn]

a fond recap of Corser in farewell here-> http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2011/Oct/111018troycorserreti.htm

but his "Respect all and fear none" quote is a great one, from a story I didn't know before exactly as it was told this time...also I enjoyed this in closing...." Assuredly Corser enjoyed his retirement party. This is, after all, a man who raced with the word "pussy" on his helmet and has a reputation as someone who knows how to have a good time."

Nice article.  [thumbsup]

My favorite quote:

"The BMW World Superbike team actually looks more lost in 2011 than the Ducati MotoGP squad."

[laugh]

...and his 'croc' bike is sweet!  ;D

I know they already run a "one bike" rule in BSB. I wonder how close to the same the new WSBK rule will be? I'd like to hear more about what exactly constitutes a "rolling chassis" in this context. If someone bins it, it'll certainly make more work for the crew...

(And in other news, the Ducatis will be getting fatter next year.)

I read that too and I couldn't help but immediatly go to the movie "Airplane" when Johnny comes in and does the "...and Leon's getting LAAARRRGGGEERR..." moment...

I think it is a dual strike against the Ducati and a warning shot over the bow for KTM and EBR Pegasus...the KTM is a non issue in my opinion...but still some fair warning based on the dominance of the Ducati's this season....that and a possible attempt at trying to put a kybosh on the usage or scuttle the Ducati ship of the 1199...especially with this quote as well...

"...WSBK also mandated an unspecified change in the handicap rules for V-twins, with details to be provided in the future (after the public debut of Ducati's "frameless" new Superbike next month, perhaps?). ..."

that's the thing though, the ducatiS weren't dominant this year.  1 guy was.  same thing happened (eventually) when they introduced the 1198 and troy beat the shit out of everyone again.

somewhere in the nitty there has to be some IZ_-math document that makes this change make sense.  at least, on paper.
