My friend is subleting her apt for the month of Nov.  I'm thinking about taking the family.  Never been to NY except to the airport.   It's in the Upper East side and only a 15 min walk to Central Park.

Realistically, would this be a good time to go to the city with a baby in tow?

Yes, but if you are on the upper east side having a vehicle will be a PITA.  Be sure to look us up if you do this.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Actually the approaching holiday season in NYC is a nice time of year, you'll be uptown and within easy striking distance of Rock Center, Museums, Theaters etc

I always liked the vibe in NY in fall leading up to Christmas, all tux'd up and on the way to and from Charity Fundraisers, Lincoln Center, Corporate holiday parties

I loved doing New Year's Eve at the Plaza,

dressing to the nines and getting thrown out of the Rainbow Grill and Top of the Sixes

and all the other finest establishments doing my lesser version of American Psycho

it is a splendid idea, do come
