It's a bit early to declare "I quit", but I've stopped, and I'm hoping to be able to encourage those who are still in the grip that it's possible to escape.
For the last couple years, the smell of smoke makes me gag.  

If I can do it, chances are incredibly good that you can too.

There's no particular significance in doing it on January 1, but it's an easy threshold.

Have only heard how crazy hard it is to give up.   Congrats Speeddog!!!   

About 10 years for me.  Smoking, I ain't giving  up.  At this point I have absolutely no desire.

I heard David Koresh quit smoking as well.
