I have moved 3 jobs and 3 states since I got my Monster in March, and it has not been easy or economical doing this. And hence I'm thinking of selling it. I have no clue what to ask for... Its obviously what someone is willing to pay for, but where do I start a fair quote??

Its a 2011 M696 all stock. Only things I added are front and rear Rizona wheel sliders, Speedymoto Frame sliders, Bar ends sliders with option for bar end mirror. Garmin GPS Ram mount with charging cable wired to the ignition. 600 mile service performed at Ducati dealer.

Never been dropped. Mostly kept indoors (except the few days it was out while I was moving and got the tree sap marks).
Cycle is in South FL right now. Registered in IN..

Kelley Blue book shows $7900.  If you want to sell it, see how many other similar Monsters are on eBay and what they'd sold for.  Seems Ducatis sell much lower than KBB values, but your area may be different.

The value will go up if you take the horns off the forks.

+1

But truthfully, values vary by area/region.  The forum really won't be much help, jump on Craigslist or KBB or NADA and do some research.  But I would say somewhere in the 6000-6500 range is what it would actually sell for, and S. Florida market has alot of Ducatis in it (on CL) that would be competing with your 696.
I don't own a Ducati...but I wrench on one.

Well, keeping both for now. Bike is in storage for the winter in NY :)

On the down side, I snapped both mirrors transporting it on a trailer  [bang] Lesson learned: never cover the bike when transporting (rain, freezing rain or snow!!)

If anyone has a pair laying around...

I was offered $50k for my first daughter.  The intermediary who contacted me said they would have offered double that for a boy.

this has got to be one of the more interesting threadjacks I've seen in awhile
