ST3 engine in a Monster frame?

That's strange. The ST3 I rode had an open dry clutch. I guess Ducati made some with dry and some with wet clutches. Maybe like the 2006 Sport 1000 with dry clutches and the 2007+ with wet clutches.
Edit: I just looked it up. 2004 ST3 had a dry clutch. 2005-07 had wet clutches.

The monster will, as it already makes a bit more power stock when compared to the SC due to the larger airbox. And with the internal work you've done, it's basic math. Mine will still pull away in the twisties though.

The ergos on the SC allow you to load up the front end a bit more than on a monster, thus allowing you to push a bit harder into a turn. Then the fact that the wheels weight about as much as a cat's hairball help as well.

05 an on is wet. prior to 05 they had a dry clutch.
I've been dreaming of tearing mine apart and making it naked.

Yeah, you are right. It just seemed like a cool idea after riding an ST3 and then seeing a wrecked Monster for sale and then an ST3 engine on eBay all in the same day.

it would be a cool and feasible project if you had a big chunk of it ready (monster missing a motor, good motor needing a frame) but there are way "cooler" builds if your starting from scratch.

I know that sounds like a shitty thing to say, but you get what I mean.
