GK

Hi everyone.

This is my first post. I am GK, koko64's brother.

I've caught the Ducati Monster bug and have been on the hunt for one.

I've been riding a VFR 800FI since buying it brand new as a runout in Feb 2002. Unfortunately it's simply too tall for a short bloke such as myself, and the enjoyment in riding it has waned somewhat. [bang]

I went for a ride with my brother 3 weeks ago, we switched bikes and after 5 minutes I had decided. The immaculate VFR must be sold to finance a Ducati Monster. What? Sell an immaculate bike to buy one that's got more km's and is older? Yep, that's the plan! ;D

I've looked at 4, the latest being tonight, but they're either too rough, need too much work or too dear. I'm waiting for a good one to come along at the right price. Just hope I don't go the Summer without one!  :-[

So when I get one, I'll let you know and post some pics.

Cheers,

GK

Welcome!  I'm sure you'll find one and I think you'll quite like the added character of the twin cylinder engine as well  [Dolph]

Cheers! I'm sure you're right.

I've had inline 4s, vertical twins, singles and a v4, but am really looking forward to the Vtwin, or I guess I should say L twin!

Here she is!

She's a 2001 M900S i.e.

Hopefully she'll be in my hands in a week or so. She's at my mate's place in Tugun and will start the journey south to Melbourne next week.

Then a few new tyres, RWC and visit to Vic Roads and all will be sweet for a nice Summer season of riding.
