I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

I've been eyeing a Husqvarna 3100 Crown Grade in my local shop.  It is a 30.06 in really quite nice condition for its age.  I'd love to take it home with me, but will just have to wait and see if the price drops a bit more.  Very nice classic rifle with a silky smooth (Mauser based) action.  I'm certain that it has many more hunts left in it if I can just convince the CFO that it needs to come to our house.  Each time I go and look at a new rifle in that price range, it just doesn't do it for me.  Sure, a $1-2k rifle would, but this thing just feels solid and is much cheaper.

The first rifle I hunted with was a borrowed Husky .270.  It belonged to my friends grandfather.  I've offered to buy it from him countless  times.......he will never sell it at any cost.

Make sure you post a pic when you pick it up!

Well, at least there is a consensus.  Now, who wants to be my negotiator?  I'm working the finances, but had just purchased a Glock recently and that makes it a bit hard to sell to the Mrs.  We'll see how things work out.  The guy is asking $600 for it, which seems to be on the high side.  It has a scope and a sling, but both are extremely old.  It is in pretty good shape though...

Any thoughts on a good price?  If it were closer to $500 it would probably already be in my cabinet.

Don't worry about the wife. I'll talk to her. With all my motorcycles and guns I must have some sort of talent for it. [laugh] [laugh]

The last of the parts are trickling in  [thumbsup]  Waiting on a Gemtech threaded rear mount to convert my Raptor II from 3 lug to screw on.  I've had issues with the spring/plunger assembly on the suppressor, and will be leaving it on the rifle full time.  Might as well skip the 3 lug.

Its a well known fact that most women cannot count past 7 guns.  Getting up to the 7 mark is the hard part, but once past 7 its just many and another one will probably slip by unnoticed.

My wife is an active shooter, hunter and competitor so I just have to convince her she needs it, then I get to use it.

Once there's enough guns in the safe, another will not be noticed. This only changes if you need to buy a bigger safe, then they become wary.
