Just looked at the Myers website, you guys should definitely hit them. I'm still at the beach and another day from even getting to ride my bike.

Ridicule me if you must, but I couldn't resist the temptation of a discount and went shopping.

I've been jonesing for a bigger tv for a while and took the opportunity to grab a 65" LCD for cheap.

I saw that deal.  If I had a spot for it, I'd have gotten one of those!

I was pretty proud of myself.

I loaded it in my truck, brought it in my house, and set it up entirely by myself.

Lemme tell ya, that is one heavy make the beast with two backser.

I need a new laptop. Are the deals that great right now?

Stella and I supported a number of local small businesses yesterday.

First, Stella purchased a new pair of running shoes at a local shop that caters to women triathletes (like herself).

Then we stopped in at a eclectic furniture store to look at light fixtures and ended up talking motos with the owner for quite a while.  He was an interesting character to say the least.

We went to another lighting store and happened upon a light fixture that we liked so much that we bought two.  One was a floor model @ 50% off, and the other was discounted $50.  But when it was invoiced, it was $20 less than quoted.  We also found a chair that we liked there, so we bought that too, at $100 off the price tag.  [thumbsup]

We stopped by a new (yesterday was their third day of business) bike maintenance/beer/coffee shop for a beer.  Very cool place with a high chance of doing well.

Lastly we went to our favorite brewery for their Spiced Winter Ale release.  Unfortunately, we did not correctly identify 3 of the 4 spices used to win a free growler.  :-\

well done.

Don't forget today is Small Business Saturday also.  While I don't particularly like AmEx, they have some program to get a $25 credit (I think) if you use your Amex at a small business.
