AMS dealership

Well since we have a posting regarding the merits and cons on the Plano dealership I thought I would post my recent experience with AMS. I need a tank replaced on my S4RS, it was approved and AMS got the tank - AMS wanted to charge $150 labor to do it - after talking to the attorneys for the class action suit who in turn spoke with Ducati NA they told me that Ducati is picking up the tab on the labor and the customer (regardless if it's in or out of warranty and if you bought the bike there) has zero cost to them. I got a completely different story from AMS only hours early today who said Duc wasn't paying for labor so I told them to ship the tank back because I would be going to Ft Worth (who said no charge) to have it done. Sure looks to me like someone is trying to line their pockets with extra $$ on warranty/good will work by getting not only Duc's $$ but the customers as well. Funny but I thought by not suing them (I would have just liked to have gotten my deductible back) when my FJR was totaled out in front of their place at their event that didn't have sufficient safe parking  ;D (any attorney's know the statute of limitations?) that they might cut me a break - I will never set foot in that store on Industrial blvd again.

For every one good experience told to others, there are always 9 bad ones.  I've never had anything but stellar customer service at AMS.  Sorry to hear your experience wasn't up to par.

As far as your lawsuit goes.... its not worth wasting the time of our court system because you're butthurt and in a vindictive mood.  There is enough of that junk going on as is.

frisco you probably left out some info. like WHO at AMS told you that you had to pay? what did DNA tell you? what did the attorney tell you?

Unfortunately, I'm in the same situation with AMS, which makes me sad, as there are many people there that I consider friends, however business is business...

I've only had 1 experience with the dealership in Albuquerque, but the customer service was excellent. I'll be going to them for new tanks, as well as (hopefully) a Panigale.

I'm pretty sure that Jim was being sarcastic about his deductible.  You read to much into that.
Can we thin the gene pool?

the absolute best dealer I have been to is Ducpond motorsports!  they have the BEST customer srvice there by far.  the problem is that they are in Virginia.

The lawsuit was just a joke comment (see smiley face)- if I would have been upset about that I would have addressed it back then - I was just unlucky that day - AMS had nothing to do with the idiot driving the car
